According to Michael Hyatt & Co there are certain things to look for when searching out your next team building experience:
San Francisco is a unique and lively city, choose a team building activity that’s on par with the city!
Team bonding and team building are totally different but equally valuable. Bring your team members closer together and develop skills that will improve your office culture. The fun of collectively taking on an adventure, combined with the rush of an escape, creates a bond like few other activities can. They don’t even need to escape for this to work! The fun is in the adventure and the shared goal, with high-level teamwork built right in.
What makes The Escape Game San Francisco the perfect spot for your next team building activity? There has to be a more unique option for team building, right? There is! Our escape rooms are designed to push your team to unlock hidden potential and creativity. Your team will learn how to communicate and collaborate effectively as they work their way around the room, uncovering hidden clues and solving intricate puzzles.
TEG is great for you, as a leader, to be able to assess your team’s strengths and weaknesses in a short amount of time. Learn who your natural leaders are. Who keeps their calm in the midst of chaos? Who can see the big picture and delegate accordingly? Who has the focus to remain calm and solve the most challenging problems? The Escape Game highlights these characteristics and skills easily and naturally.
Take it up a notch by purchasing the John Maxwell Team Development Package. Your team will take the John Maxwell DiSC assessment and then play an escape room. Leaders use the connection guide to lead a team discussion that ties learnings from the assessment to the escape room experience. Doing this all together really makes those learnings stick! The leader will also get an Executive Report that has insight into your team’s unique communication style and dynamic. You’ll review this report with a John Maxwell Leadership Coach virtually. This is a great tool to help you gain insight and understanding into the health and development of your team.
Looking for a virtual option? We’ve got you covered! Your team can experience TEG all from the comfort of their homes, across the world. We’ll set you up with a Game Guide, who will be your real-time eyes, ears, hands, and feet in the room. Your team will use our digital dashboard to keep track of clues and progress as you race the clock to escape!
Tips from TEG Game Guides on how to play the game well and escape:
Robert from Nashville says that escape games are a great opportunity for players to learn how to effectively communicate as a team. He says, “Listen to each other, talk one at a time, and talk through what you see and think. You never know what small detail will trigger something in someone’s mind. These games are cooperative!”
Shannon from Minneapolis says teams should “Read everything and read carefully! Organize your team and get to know your teammates’ strengths and weaknesses when it comes to puzzle solving or finding things. Keep a discard pile or put keys and already used items in one place, since most game pieces are only going to be used once.”
Companies all over San Francisco have been loving their TEG experience! Check out what they have to say:
“Planned a team outing for my group of eight. We were able to participate in one of the rooms that was able to accommodate our group size. It was particularly nice to have the option to have just our group. The team at The Escape Game San Francisco were so helpful! They made the activity fun for our team and were nice throughout. They even showed us some of the other escape rooms. We’d definitely love to go back! My team really enjoyed the activity. It wasn’t ever stressful and was a nice activity for team building. Really loved the experience and can’t recommend them enough. Would definitely go back and hope to do so soon outside of work!”
“I had an amazing time. The employees were super friendly and polite. I went in a group of four and did the Prison Escape. I highly recommend this place for family, friends, and team building. We had the pleasure of working with Marc, he was very professional and enjoyed his job. Can’t wait to go back again and do another room.”
“We came as a work group for team building and did the playground since we had 9 people and it has a max of 12 where the other ones were 8 so we didn’t want to split up. It was a lot of fun. You had 1 hour to finish 4th grade to get to the gym for a kickball game. There were several puzzles and clues and once we got the first few going we were able to break up into groups to solve different pieces. We escaped with 10 min to spare using only 2 of our 3 clues. It was a lot of fun and you get a sticker if you escape. I definitely recommend for a group of friends or coworkers.”
“Lots of fun. I went with my colleagues for a team-building activity, and we all had a great time in the “Special Ops” room. We narrowly escaped!”
