2023 - Lights, camera, action!
In 2023, we introduced a brand new concept! Great Big Game Show gives players the chance to compete in a game show experience, complete with a live host. After a successful launch in Nashville, we’ve opened more Great Big Game Show locations across the US.
We're just getting started.
With 10 million guests and counting, 50+ locations, and more immersive experiences on the way, we aren’t slowing down any time soon.
2013 - The Prototype
Our founders began prototyping a Music City-themed game in a basement in Nashville, TN. Their first game run-through took over two hours to complete and received less-than-rave reviews, but the team was determined to make something great.
2014 - Our First Location
Our first location opened in Nashville’s Berry Hill neighborhood on April 27, 2014, with just two games! Within two months, The Escape Game rocketed to TripAdvisor’s #1 tourist attraction spot. “I Escaped” stickers were spotted throughout Nashville — on cars, laptops, cash registers, EVERYWHERE!
2015 - The Escape Game HQ
Word moved fast, and guests traveled far and wide to play our games! It was time to expand to more cities, including Orlando, Austin, Pigeon Forge, and Chicago. Next, we set up our national headquarters in the city where it all began, Nashville.
2016 - The Adventure Factory
We set up our production shop and got to work! Every game is made with love at our 60,000 square foot “Adventure Factory”. From submarines to spaceships, our carpenters, engineers, scenic artists, and tech experts put their hearts into every element of the game.
2020 - The Pandemic
Locking people in a room together? Not exactly pandemic-friendly entertainment. But we were determined to survive. Overnight, our production facility went from producing trees, missiles, and other props to making face shields. Then, we took our games online, providing borderless team building for remote groups around the world.
2021 - Back and better than ever!
Post-pandemic, our team had renewed drive. We reopened our stores, launched new ones, and made some new friends through activations with iconic brands like Disney, Amazon, Hulu, and Nickelodeon.
